The three Directors of StraTech, Peter Aroney, Jim Russell, and Steve Franey, have between them over 45 years of I.T experience, and over 40 years Insurance industry experience !

 The breadth and depth of this experience sets StraTech apart from other I.T. Consultants in designing and implementing solutions for the Insurance industry.

Peter Aroney’s Insurance business experience commenced in 1978 and includes numerous business processing and analysis roles. In 1983 he joined the I.T industry and has successfully performed the full breadth of Application Programming and Analysis roles. Over the past decade Peter has specialised in relational database technology and architectures and in 1994 was nominated for an International Award of Excellence for the advancement of Relational Technology. He has been involved in the Insurance I.T. industry since 1983 and consulting exclusively to it since 1995.

Jim Russell started in the I.T. industry in 1978 and has had extensive technical experience from Systems Programming of large multi-cluster mainframes to design and implementation of extensive LAN’s (1500+ PC’s). This technical experience is balanced with both a Bachelor of Business Degree and the maturity of managing technical teams in analysis, design, prototyping, business acceptance, implementation, rollout and support of numerous I.T. projects. He joined the insurance industry in 1987 and has been independently consulting since 1997.

Steve Franey was originally trained as an I.T Systems Engineer. He joined the Australian General Insurance Industry in 1987 and has held senior management roles responsible for Data Centres, Technology and Architectures, and Systems Development. In 1997, became one of the first eight students in Australia to attain a Masters in Business in I. T Management degree with a Masters Thesis on the "Internet and its implications for the Australian General Insurance". Has been independently consulting to the Australian General Insurance industry since 1995.
